Windows With Siding: The Right Order of Operations
The best time to replace windows is when the siding is off — the opening is exposed, and the flashing integration between window, weather barrier, and cladding can be built correctly in one pass. That’s why window replacement pairs so naturally with our re-sides: one schedule, one crew sequence, one company accountable for the joint where most wall leaks start. Standalone window projects get the same integration standard, with the existing cladding protected at every opening.

Window Questions
Insert or full-frame replacement?
If your existing frames are square and sound, inserts are efficient. If there's rot, racking, or you're re-siding anyway, full-frame lets us rebuild the flashing from the studs out. We'll assess and tell you which.
Should I do windows with my siding project?
Usually yes, if they're within a few years of needing it — the combined project costs less than two mobilizations and the integration is better.
Why is there water staining under my window?

What warranty comes with it?

Do replacement windows need a permit?
Usually yes for full-frame replacement, and it varies by jurisdiction for inserts. Where the opening is altered, the flashing is an inspected component. We pull the permits and coordinate inspections as part of the job — see your city's requirements.
How long does a whole-house window replacement take?
Most homes run a few days to a week, depending on count, whether they are inserts or full-frame, and what the openings reveal once trim comes off. Rot at sills and headers is common here and better fixed while the wall is open.
