Prep Is the Paint Job

The color coat only proves what the prep did: washing, scraping failed film, sanding transitions, spot-priming bare wood, caulking joints, and masking cleanly. On shaded Northwest walls that hold moisture, prep and product selection matter more than anywhere else on the house — a shortcut there is a peeling wall in three years.
