Why Installation to Spec Matters

Hardie’s warranty is conditional on installation to Hardie’s specification — clearances, fastening, flashing, and cut-edge treatment. Siding installed outside the spec can void the strongest warranty in the business before the first winter. Our installers are employees we’ve trained on the specification, not subcontractors learning it on your house. The spec is the difference between siding that performs for 30 years and siding that just looks like it will.
