Safety is the part of this work we take most seriously, and on a building where people live it is not only our crews we are thinking about. It is the resident walking under the scaffolding to reach their own front door.

Every crew lead is first aid and CPR certified. Every crew meets weekly on safety. A superintendent checks each site daily against a written list. And twice a year we invite L&I onto our jobsites to look for anything we have missed — most contractors would rather they did not come.

That matters more here than it would in a dry climate. Around Puget Sound our crews work at height on wet scaffolding through a long grey season, and the weather is a hazard as much as it is a scheduling problem.
