Apartment siding replacement in Kent, Washington. Side-Pro rebuilt the exterior on this multi-family community — sheathing repaired where it had failed, a new weather barrier and flashing, James Hardie siding and trim, and a two-coat exterior paint system.

Once the old cladding came off, the scope wrote itself. The before and during photographs show what the crew found: water damage at the wall bases, rot around the openings, and framing that had to be cut out and replaced before anything new went back on.

James Hardie siding and trim. HardiePlank® lap siding, smooth HardiePanel® vertical siding, Rustic Hardie® trim, and Hardie® mounting blocks for lights, receptacles and utilities.

Sheathing. Exterior CDX plywood, with substrate preparation and repair where it was needed.

Weather-resistive barrier. HardieWrap® weather barrier and HardieWrap® seam tape, detailed into the openings rather than run past them.

Window flashing. HardieWrap® Pro-Flashing, integrated with the weather barrier at every opening.

Exterior trim. AZEK® trimboard and James Hardie® trim.

Ventilation. Hooded exterior vents, with HVAC and other penetrations detailed back into the barrier.

Sealants. OSI® QUAD® exterior sealant at joints, penetrations and terminations.

Paint. Sherwin-Williams® SuperPaint® Exterior over a pressure-washed substrate, two coats, including the exterior railings.
